CourtCanada's Champion Cupcakers
May 17, 2010
Congratulations to CourtCanada's Mari Moreshead and Clare Jordan, who won the Iron Cupcake Toronto baking challenge held May 16th, 2010.
The Iron Cupcake competition is hosted by Liberty Village's For the Love of Cake, and has a similar concept to that of television's popular Iron Chef cooking show. A "secret ingredient" is announced in the period leading up to the competition, and the competitors must somehow incorporate it into their cupcakes. Points are awarded on presentation, taste and creativity.
Mari and Clare won the competition on the strength of their original cupcake recipe, which included orange, cardamom and rose, under a cream cheese and toasted pistachio icing.
