The following information and documents relate to the claims process:
- Report dated January 5, 2005 requesting approval of a Settlement Agreement between KPMG Inc. and Sun Life Assurance Company (UK) Limited, and authorizing the Liquidator to take no further steps with respect to policies issued by the former Confed Branch in the U.K., and Order dated January 7, 2005 approving same.
- Report dated February 18, 2004 seeking an Order allowing a claim in excess of $1,000,000 in accordance with the claims allowance process previously approved by the Court, and Order dated February 26, 2004 approving same.
- Report dated January 19, 2004 seeking an Order allowing claims of Ordinary Creditors and amending the process for giving of notice to creditors and claimants of the claims that the Liquidator proposed to admit, and Order dated January 26, 2004 approving same.
- Report dated October 28, 2003 seeking authorization for a seventh interim distribution by the Liquidator from the estate of Confed in the amount of $75 million to be allocated between creditors of Confed whose claims are not subordinated and the holders of subordinated debt in accordance with the settlement approved on November 28, 2002, and Order dated November 4, 2003 approving same.
- Report dated January 24, 2003 seeking an Order amending the process for the giving of notice to creditors and claimants of the claims that the Liquidator proposes to admit and for the manner in which they may object to such claims, and Order dated January 31, 2003 approving same.
- Report dated August 22, 2002 with respect to a Post-Liquidation Interest Motion, and Order dated September 4, 2002 approving notice of the Post-Liquidation Interest Motion to be served to those who may be affected by the Motion.
- Report dated August 22, 2002 approving the Fourth Supplemental Dividend Sheet and authorizing the Liquidator to make distributions from time to time to the holders of Allowed Claims set out on the Fourth Supplemental Dividend Sheet, and Order dated September 4, 2002 approving same.
- Report dated March 15, 2002 approving the Third Supplemental Dividend Sheet and authorizing the Liquidator to make distributions from time to time to the holders of Allowed Claims set out on the Third Supplemental Dividend Sheet, and Order dated March 28, 2002 approving same.
- Report dated August 1, 2001 approving the Second Supplemental Dividend Sheet and authorizing the Liquidator to make distributions from time to time to the holders of Allowed Claims set out on the Second Supplemental Dividend Sheet, Supplemental Report dated August 8, 2001 with regard to list of July allowed claims, and Order dated August 9, 2001 approving same.
- Report dated March 21, 2001 in support of the application for authority to make a second interim distribution of $100 million, and Order dated March 27, 2001 approving same.
- Report dated February 19, 2001 amending the allowance of claims and the amendment of the allowance process with respect to the claims of twelve retirees (who were inadvertently omitted from the November 29, 2000 Order allowing the claims of the Canadian Operations Retirees), and Order dated February 23, 2001 approving same.
- Report dated February 19, 2001 appointing James H. Grout to report to the Court on financial statements at distribution motions, and Order dated February 23, 2001 approving same.
- Report dated November 24, 2000 approving the First Supplemental Dividend Sheet and authorizing the Liquidator to make distributions from time to time to the holders of Allowed Claims set out on the First Supplemental Dividend Sheet, and Order dated November 29, 2000 approving same.
- Reports dated August 3, 2000 and August 26, 2000 in support of the application for authority to distribute $260 million and Order dated September 5, 2000 approving same.
- Report dated May 1, 2000 approving the notice of disallowance form and Order dated May 5, approving such form.
- Report dated April 17, 2000 seeking a declaration that subordinated debt is in fact subordinated and Order dated May 19, 2000 so declaring.
- Report dated November 30, 1999 and Order of December 3, 1999 extending the date for filling claims to February 15, 2000.
- Report dated September 30, 1999 for directions for the call for claims and Order dated October 7, 1999 giving directions for the call for claims.
